I would appreciate any information about the artist of this painting. I believe it comes from China. Is that correct?

The artist is Japanese.

Masahiro was his original given name.
Rinzai School Zen priest.
Born in Wakayama prefecture.
From 1980 Shōgenji Temple chief priest, 3rd president of Shōgenji Temple Junior College
