To me, it is more like a tendril-pattern
than a Chinese character. Otherwise, there would be little point in repeating the
same character one after another.

This "character" has been drawn hollow with a stylus.
A simple decor might not have required such a repeated effort 10 times.
I thought of the possibility of a stylized archaic character, not necessarily Chinese, but I do not find any element allowing me to corroborate this hypothesis.

not a character per se but likely a stylized image of a dragon akin to those on archaic Chinese bronzes.

Possiblement vase funéraire d'où le bon état de conservation.....have a Google Day
