Subject:Help identifying 19th century Kyoto(?) beauty painting
Posted By: Mark Thu, Jan 30, 2025 IP: 86.173.142.17

Hello - There is a lot of information that I am looking for help to translate on the Kyoto(?) painting of a Noh theatre Sanbaso dance scene.

My attempt of the signature:

素瑛(?)???

I see one character - 印 - in the seal and variant of this (音)?

Images 2 and 3 look to be a repeat of the signature, but I am unsure the attempt in image 2 is correct?

Many thanks

1,
Soryū Nariharu -shi - Mater Soryū Nariharu
(成晴 can be read also Shigeharu)
Upper seal,
Seal of Soryū Sei
Lower seal,
Kizan

2,
Master Soryū Nariharu's Picture of Sanbansō

3,
Painted by Soryū Seisei
(Clearly, the order of the characters 成 and 晴 is reverse by mistake)

4,
Picture of Sanbansō

Unfortunately, I am unable to verify the identity of the painter.

With regards,
I.Nagy
