Subject:Question re 'makers mark' on Japanese plate
Posted By: Kay Dee Sun, Dec 08, 2024 IP: 85.76.143.151

Wondering if this 'makers mark' on the bottom of a Japanese porcelain plate may distinguish approximately when it was made, by whom, and what the Japanese writing states?

Mark measures 'about' 2cm / 1 inch across.

Thanks for any help!

Mark reads;
善汎 Zenpan
This is a Fukugawa (-seiji - Koransha) mark, a family brand from Arita region.
Likely dates to the first half of the 20th century.

With regards,
