Subject:Identify object
Posted By: Scott Wed, Nov 20, 2024 IP: 98.196.183.96 I picked this object at some antique shop 30+ years ago because it was cheap and a nice looking gold phoenix rooster on enamel. But i never discovered its origin or what it was used for. I vaguely remember mention of samurai or wedding adornment. But it was many years ago to remember. It has a slot opening on bottom, shaped like it might have slid and locked onto something. Anybody recognize or have a guess? |

Posted By: Scott Fri, Nov 22, 2024 Well i’ve discovered they are a kashira-fuchi set. Seem to be of good quality. But how to know? Web searches show many are available. They must be interchangeable from the sword for there to be so many separate from the sword. The art is nice on its own.Is there a market for it? |
