Subject:Japanese bowls with 5-character signature

There are 3 of this size (6" dia by 1 5/8" high) plus a pair of cups & under-saucers (for want of a more accurate description) as well as 2 other, even smaller cups having similar motifs...too much to show here at one time. I will be grateful to know whatever anyone may be able to offer in the way of identification; area of origin, age, symbology in the design...and most important, a translation of the marking. Some of the other pieces bear identical hand-signatures, while others have less informative graphics on the bottom. I'll save those outliers for another posting. All of them were returned to the US at the end of the GHQ era, ~1952. Thank you all for looking!
