The apocryphal six-character base mark reads,
大明宣徳年製
Made During the Xuande Reign of the Great Ming
Xuande: Title of reign 1426-1435 of Zhu Zhanji, 5th emperor of the Ming Dynasty
Many bronze and copperware products are marked with the above inscription, but I think it is safe to say that there are very few that were really made during the reign of Xuande. They are copies made in later generations in the style of bronze from the Xuande era.
