I buy a set of 4 statues on ebay presented like hongshan meteorite stone statue.
Size is about 15 to 18 cm
I thing it look like sangxindui style
But seller says it was collected in Liaoning.
Magnet stick a se part of statue.
I find some scratch on the head witn metalic shine .
Surface was covered bu verdigris.
CT scan demonstrate that inside the stone there is iron metallic melting with the rock.
It could be a meteoric stone.
Who can solve this mystery?

This looks more like Aztec/Mayan,but not authentic.
Fake comes to mind.
A hands on by an expert is needed.

The look is typical of Sanxingdui bronze statue (shu kingdom).
Its very surpising because some china art look like south americ art!

Im sorry to say but there is no mystery and no need for scientific tests... a simple analysis of the iconography shows that those are very common Sanxingdui fakes. Be very careful with Ebay.

It’s not fréquent yo have iron metal on stone on earth (only iron oxyde/ore) and CT scan demonstrate tht there is metal iron inside.
Is it a fake meyeorite stone with melting iron metal and rock powdet?

Did faker use acid?
