Subject:Re: QING MONOCHROME OR CELADONS COLLECTION

Hi there,
Since nobody else has addressed your question, I will try.
None of these pieces are what is termed "Monochrome" when referring to Chinese porcelain. Monochromes are pieces that present in a single, solid & identifiable colour (i.e. Turquoise, Robin's Egg Blue etc) the are the same colour all over.. top, bottom, inside and out (with the exception of the foot rim).
I'm not sure many of these pieces would be termed Celedon either strictly speaking. The term Celedon actually refers to the colour of Green Jade. While the pieces you have are in those hues, the crackling on their glaze puts them in yet another category.
In the Song Dynasty, there were "five famous kilns", one of them produced green glazes with a several different highly prized crackle effects in their glazes. This was the Guan Kiln & the wares are known as Guan Type.
As for whether any of your pieces are actually Qing or not, I'm not certain but all of what I have told you is information that is freely available on the net, if you managed to find this forum, you could find the information for yourself if you cared enough. Coming here and asking questions like this makes one look quite entitled & lazy so while I have humoured you this time, if you have these questions again, do some research and find out yourself. Most people aren't going to share their hard earned knowledge so easily.
