While I can't assist with the glaze or technique name, I can certainly help you with identifying Satsuma earthenware in the future.
Satsuma is not a painting or decoration technique or style as is often assumed. Satsuma Yaki references the actual body (the clay used) of the piece. Satsuma is not porcelain so if the piece has a full vitreous glaze, it's definitely not Satsuma, it is likely Kutani or similar painted in a similar style to that which Satsuma is usually decorated with. The body of Satsuma ware will always display a surface covered all over with "micro-fissures" or a crackled surface, similar to the crazing one often sees on English china that has been wet too many times however Satsuma comes out of the kiln like this. It is usually a slightly warm, honey colour as well, never white.
I hope that helps you in the future with identifying Satsuma wares.
