I would be grateful for help with the translation of the inscription. Thank you kindly.

Artist: Takuan Soho 沢庵宗彭 (1573-1645).
Medium/Technique: Wood, carved and painted.
Dimensions: 46 x 30 x 2.1 cm.

Age unknown to me. The artwork was originally accompanied by a diary dated to Kanei 12 (1635).

寛永乙亥　-　Wood-pig Year of Kanei Era (1635)
澤庵老書　-　Calligraphy of the Old Takuan
Below is Takuan's "kao" - substitute for his signature.
