Subject:Possible Ancient Chinese Bronze Temple Gong??

I was hoping someone with knowledge on this Art Form Subject could enlighten me on the Age and wether it is Chinese or Japanese or from another Country and any other Information you might have. This Bronze Gong measures 8 inches high with a 4 inch Base Diameter. I Guarantee it to be very old and not a reproduction but was obviously kept polished on the outside possibly for eons but not touching the inside area which is black with age. Also has an old solder repair you can see at the top. Any Help would be Highly Appreciated Thanks! Gary K
