Posted By: Bill H Wed, May 03, 2023 The form and phoenix motif of your lamp base are Chinese but it has a cloudy yellow glaze, other thick enamels and a drill hole with glaze inside that indicates it was drilled before firing. These points suggest to me this may be a second quarter 20th century product, at which time a warlord insurrection and the following Japanese invasion complicated supply lines for porcelain production at Jingdezhen. |
