Posted By: rat Sat, Mar 18, 2023 Should be a later 19th c. or early 20th c. imitation of Jin's work. He was a court painter and therefore did not typically include prominent inscriptions on his pictures. The examples of figures in landscape of his shown here (https://m.juhaohua.com/baike/3379.html) mostly feature the Qianlong emperor's inscriptions instead. (These pictures are mostly in the NPM and Palace Museums.) His work also didn't feature the outlined vegetation dots with bright mineral colors that appear in the mid-distance here and gave Qing popular pictures some zip. |
