the mark reads "Made during the Chenghua reign" (period during the Ming known for its quality), but the previous owner/dealer's sticker seems to date this piece to the Daoguang reign (1820-1850)

the 2006 edition of the Mainland China-published “Collection of Classical Markings on Chinese Historical Porcelains” (Zhongguo lidai taoci kuanzhi dadian - 中国历代陶瓷款识大典) shows that Chenghua marks were fabricated from the reigns of late Ming successors all the way into the 20th century.

Best regards,

Thank you Bill for your response and time.
From your comment, one has to assume it is from a later period and not Chenghua period.
Best, regards,
Pat
