Subject:Help with Chinese Vase inscription

Any help on the seal or what it says to date age or maker is appreciated. I was thinking it was republic era...

This is indeed a Republic Period vase signed by Ma Qingyun (馬慶雲 simplified 马庆云). It features images of the "Three Star Gods" longevity God Shouxing, Good Fortune God Fuxing and the protector God of scholarly emoluments and privilege Luxing (shown from left to right between what appear to be worshipful figures of a female and two children). As seen here, the God of Good Fortune is always properly shown as the taller of this trio.

I believe your vase has a cyclical date in the inscription but it is too grassy for my aging eyes. Perhaps our contributing star god I.Nagy can come to the rescue yet again.(:

Best regards,

Bill H.

Unfortunately the vase doesn`t have a cyclical date.
Inscriptions read,
三星拱照納千祥 江西
馬慶雲
Three Star Gods bless you with lot of luck.
Jiangxi (Province)
Ma Qingyun

Ma Qingyun (Date of birth and death unknown)
According to some sources he was active between 1899 and 1926.

With regards,
I.Nagy
