Would appreciateany any info oncopper red and gilt 6" box, especially the unusual markings on the base. Many thanks.

This is Kutani ware from Japan, it says "Kutani" 九谷 in the oval seal on the right. Typical Kutani colors as well.
Unfortunately I was not able to figure out the complete name on the left: 鳳 Hö - then I think 遊 Yu, but the 3rd Kanji is unknown to me, as is the name in the square seal (xx-zan 山 or xx-yama 山).
So we need a more experienced expert in the Japanese language to complete the name(s).

The other character in that group looks to be either 摟 (to embrace) or 樓 (a building), both pronounced "lou" in mandarin (but different tones). Hopefully I.nagy can sort it out in Japanese.
