Subject:Asian watercolor with calligraphy and seals
Posted By: Wayne Fri, Sep 23, 2022 IP: 2606:54c0:76e0:d28::

Any info would be appreciated. Country of origin, translation of calligraphy and meaning of the seals. Is this a more modern painting? It is about 3 feet by 3 feet, on thin, soft and pulpy-feeling laid paper. OKAY, thanks for taking a look and anything you can tell me about it. Wayne

The painting is Chinese.
Title;
呉采鵉騎虎入山啚
Picture of Wu Cailuan Rides a Tiger into the Mountains

The depcited story is about the love between a mortal scholar Wen Xiao (文簫) and a fairy Wu Cailan (呉綵鸞), who after 12 years of marriage each rode a tiger over the mountains and became immortals. (Happy end story)

Date and signature,
甲午 麗丰
Year of Wood-Horse (2014) by Lifeng - Given name

Unidentifiable artist,

With regards,
I.Nagy
