Can anyone identify the mark on the bottom of a large bronze sculpture of a tiger?

Japanese. Signed Hikarimotosaku (?). Possibly Inoshishi Okimono from Meiji-Period (1868-1912)
A picture of the statue would be nice for a visual comparison.

Here are three snapshots. The tail had been severed and reattached at some point in time long ago. The friend who passed it onto me indicated that he thought it had been done to ship it. It is otherwise in excellent condition.

I found another artist, who might be of interest towards your research. See here:

I've tried a couple of times to upload pics. I think the files may have been too large. This is another attempt. Let me know if these make it clear as to whom the artist/maker may be. The Tiger is about 20 1/2 inches long.

The name of artist; Ōmori Kōgen 大森光元
Some sources also read his given (art)-name Mitsumoto. According to the long established practice the given or art-names of the Japanese artists should be read following the "on" (or old Chinese) reading i.e. Kōgen and not Mitsumoto
Meiji era artist. Year of birth and death unknown.
On the following site you will find a lion from him with the very same mark (the bottom 5th picture).

Upload still did not work. You can upload images to a plattform of your choice and post a link here. Otherwise everything you upload here has to be smaller than 25 mb. But I think you could trust I.Nagys transltaion. He is quite the expert on that. His translation matches the second link I send you (it's the same artist in different spelling)
