It is Chinese.
Hand written script on the label by the art-shop
reads;
Seal:
空山 [字] ? = - Characters of 空山 ? =
许運霞 ? - Xu Yunxia ?
1706-1758 - 1706-1758
Seemingly, the shop people couldn`t read the seal for sure either, so they read it 空山 (Kongshan) - probably mistaken and tried to attribute it to the pseudonym of the named 18th century artist (whom I can`t find anywhere either)
