Subject:Help with a cloisonne box
Posted By: Sam Sun, Aug 28, 2022 IP: 70.44.73.137

I recently purchased this cloisonne box. I didn't see any text or markings. Based on the photos does anyone know what the region of origin or time period might be? The bird engravings continue onto the inside of the top lid. I can upload more detailed photos if needed. Any helpful information at all is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time!

It's Japanese, probably late Meiji or Taisho period. Love the stylized/abstract flowers. Wonderful color range.

The cloisonne box is made by the Inaba company. The mark looks like a baseball on the bottom in the karakusa scrolls, so it may be hard to spot.
