Subject:Another painted vase
Posted By: Tony Tue, Jul 12, 2022 IP: 23.243.126.110

Dear friends,
On this one, the blue enamel is over the glaze. Love the scenery, specially the Japanese maple trees/leaves (?) or bamboo and the rocks!
It is 14.5” by 6” and with a triangle mark on the bottom.
Would really appreciate your inputs 🙏😊🙏
Tony

Here is something intangible, which is unusual from me! … I am very fond of the theme (as intended by the painting artist or not) and probably read too much into it and got sentimental…
Time passes him by- the man in the dark robe, as the same tree (on the neck of the vase) then now showed sign of aging and the same rock walls bear witness to the memories of “the good old days”! 😔
Just some thoughts …

It is porcelain (?), light weight, and a bit translucent but not egg-shell thin. It also has a painted golden band at the edge of the top rim.
It looks Asian but which one and by which potter and period?
I would appreciate and welcome any input 🙏
