Subject:Elephant figurine with monkey

I would like to have your opinion on this beautiful elephant figurine with monkey on its back.
It looks like a piggy bank but I believe it was adapted after its creation.
Could it be from Tibet?
What age can it be?
Under one leg is engraved the monogram H.F.

Is this perhaps Indian? H F does not sound that it is very old. .
