This was bought from the Brooklyn Museum store in the late 80's. Any assistance in translating the script and identifying the subject matter would be appreciated.

Sanshū Mt.Ikoma Shōbaji Temple
(Sanshū is the old name of Kawachi Province, now a part of Ōsaka and Nara Prefectures)
Top,
十一面観世音菩薩 - Jūichimen Kanzeon Bosatsu -
Eleven-faced Kanzeon (Kannon)
Left,
大塔法皇子 - Ōtōhō-ōji - Buddhist name of Prince Moriyoshi (Son of Emperor Go-Daigo)
Right,
延壽坊権現 - Goju-bō Gongen - Incarnation of the priest who lenghtens the lives of people.

Dear I. Nagy, Again, many thanks. Were prints like this sold or displayed in temples- what were they used for? Any guess whether this is original (if so likely dating?) or reprinted? Regards, Norman
