Subject:Antique Chinese (?) Spoon

I'd be grateful if any expert might be able to say as to whether this spoon is of Asian origin.

On the base of the handle there appears to be a Chinese (or Asian) symbol.

Perhaps Korean. Koreans use metal chopsticks and a spoon similar in shape.

Apologies for the skewed third photo. I've had this happen before when submitting pics, but am not exactly sure of the reason for this.
