Subject:Needing To Know Any Information On Early Chinese Cloisonne Pot Thanks!

I know a little about Chinese and Japanese Cloisonne but this one kind of stumps me. Hoping to get your Professional Opinion on this Medium size Pot as to date and where it might have been made, Etc. Measures 6 inches high and is 8 inches wide. What I know and was guessing or my thoughts on it is is that it is very heavy and thick copper with rather thickly applied true Gold filled or plate on both top and bottom rims and it is enameled in torquoise blue on bottom and inside the Pot. Highly detailed and very finely made it has the Imperial Frontal five clawed Dragon on three sides. I have studied the piece real good and find it to be quite old showing great age but is in very fine condition with very little cloisonne damage but not without some fine chips and wear throughout showing its early age to me. Has to be within the Qing Dynasty era but then how could it have the Imperial Family Dragon on it? Unless it is Imperial made it would be highly illegal to have those Dragons history says. Any answers to this mystery Piece would be highly Appreciated! Thank You! Gary K

Hello, Chinese. NOt strictly traditional Cloisonné in that some of the panels are left open but close enough. It would be clasifed as Champleve Cloisonne as it has elements of both. Likely 20th century

Thanks Jonathan! Very nice to know the name of the spacing of the Cloisens. I was able to get a response to who actually made the piece. Lao Tian Li Cloisonne Workshop around the early 1900's. One of his earlier pieces I believe. I appreciate the Help! Gary K
