The mark reads: Ryozan 亮山. Date: 1896-1910.
It's a mark by Okamoto Ryozan, real name Nakamura Tatsunosuke.
Okamoto Ryozan is the most famous of the artists working for the Yasuda company. In 1896 Yasuda Gensei established the Kyoto Tojiki Goshi Kaisha (Kyoto Ceramics Joint-Stock Company). They hired a number of excellent painters to produce quality Satsuma ware. The company used a unique trademark (the Yasuda logo). See picture.
Regards,
Martin.
