Subject:Can Anyone Identify Maker's Signature on Large Japanese Bronze Tiger?
Posted By: Joe Tue, Oct 12, 2021 IP: 2601:205:381:4c70:f1

Can anyone identify the maker's signature on this large bronze Japanese tiger? It's the large 23 inch version of a common motif, so I'm guessing circa 1900, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks in advance.

Maker's signature reads,
盛光 - Morimitsu

Morimitsu was one of the artists engaged in the workshop of master craftsman Genyrūsai Seiya in the Meiji period.

With regards.
