Subject:Request for Translation of marks on Plum Blossom Vase
Posted By: Gman Fri, Oct 01, 2021 IP: 2600:1700:466b:8610:

I was hoping someone might be able to translate the marks and seal on this porcelain teardrop shaped Ichirin zashi style vase with plum blossom decoration.
I have been advised in the past that it is a 20th century Korean piece.
While the shape clearly shows it was hand thrown, I really haven't seen other examples where the fluted neck tapers to such a small opening, shaped like the mouthpiece on a horn.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Gman

Mark and seal read in Korean,
古城 - Goseong (고성) (Old Castle)

With regards,
I.Nagy
