Subject:Wang Qi?
Posted By: Sean Tue, Aug 24, 2021 IP: 173.49.113.32

I bought a set of 4 plaques, each of them very well painted. I believe it’s by Wang Qi 🤷. I was wondering if someone would be able to help me with the meaning of the colophon, and the year it was painted.
In his early years, Wang Qi painted the ‘gongbi’ style which is similar to my postings. I hope the year corresponds to his earlier paintings. Thanks.

Unfortunately this is not by the famed Wang Qi. It's a poor copy. The calligraphy and seal are wrong. The styling of the cloths is horribly wrong. The facial features which was one of his traits is lifeless here.
Product of the later 20th century.
