I can see why you think that. It's very unusual design. Especially the lid and top rim design. Not really Chinese. Might even be straits porcelain by way of the design on lid and top rim. But I am unsure as I don't collect/deal with said porcelain.
If it's straits porcelain then early 20th century imo and very collectable atm.
If it's chinese then early PROC.
If it's straits, it's unusual to have female images. Normally straits porcelain is predominantly Phoenix, birds or flowers.
The facial features are the same which is a worry. Normally indicates later production.
