Subject:Grid pattern porcelain mark
Posted By: Paul Sun, Jul 18, 2021 IP: 2a02:a319:c13e:4300:

I hope somebody can help solve a problem. The seller claimed this was a Chinese porcelain plate of 1800-1850 and the mark on it is a "Canton mark" but I cannot find on the internet anything that would explain it, the design of the mark with bunches of parallel lines has me puzzled. Can anyone explain what we are looking at here? is it an official mark, or some kind of imitation? Thanks.

Apocryphal Qing Mark.
It's impossible to determine by one image if it's said period by the seller.
You would need to post images of the whole piece.
