This spoon is made following the resignation of Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands, who reigned from 1898 till 1948.
Under her portrait is written: W 50 jaren (50 years) and on the stem "Moeder des vaderland" = "Mother of the Fatherland".
On the other site the dates of her reign Sept. 6th 1989 - Sept. 6th 1948. Again W 50 and under that "wij willen onszelf zijn en blijven" = "we want to be ourselves and stay ourselves".
Wilhelmina was succeeded by her daughter Juliana.
Gero 90 means it's silver plated and GN means George Nilsson, who was the desinger of this spoon and worked for the Gero Factory in Copenhagen (Denmark).
Regards,
Martin.
