Subject:Kanji on inside of Oribe teabowl
Posted By: Axel Sat, Jul 03, 2021 IP: 2001:1c03:5b13:7100:

Hi,

I have a teabowl with a kanji in the middle. Using a few apps on my fine to recognize drawn kanji I think it is '糸' which means thread(?). Did I hit the right kanji? I suppose the motif on the bowl could be interpreted as threads but I'm far from sure.

Thanks in advance,

Axel

I read it,
赤 - Aka - Red

With regards,

Thank you!

That makes me wonder though what the meaning for placing the kanji for red there is.

Thread would've made more sense.
