Hi, can somebody help me with origin and age of this padlock?
Maybe even the meaning of the inscription.
If needed I can provide better pictures.
Thank you

Many of this style lock were made in the Yunnan Province in the early 20th century. Some claim they are older borrowing from Roman locks. The "1963" carved into the lock may give some indication as it looks to be carved by someone not as familiar with western characters and could be original to the lock.

The key seems to have been on a key ring a while as evidenced by the wear to the hole. I would approximate the brass key would have rubbed against a steel key ring for approximately 20 to 30 years for that amount of wear, longer against softer materials. Sorry I can not help with the inscriptions.

Chinese brass lock. Used for lick up cabinets etc.
Not really my area. However I think it's circa 1920's. I could be wrong here on the date though.
