It's Japanese cloisonne and I believe it's from the 20th century.

Hi,

I can say quite confidently that it's Japanese. They call them natsume.

Yours is likely a 20th century example.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Hello Mark and Suzume

Many thanks for the information, good for me to know that it is Japanese,I have had suggestions that it was Chinese.
I like things from the Meiji period ,although looks like this may be later.
(nothing against Chinese cloisonne ,it is also very good)
Regards Fred.
