Subject:Calligrapher Artist
Posted By: James Owens Wed, May 26, 2021 IP: 73.24.164.133

Can anyone help identify the artist calligrapher who did these works? I am told it might be Tan Tian (Tan Changyou), b. 1963, and the seal reads bai yun shan ren, but I cannot seem to find his seal. Many thanks for your help.

Dear James,
Online I can find only calligraphies from Tán Tiān 潭天
(Originally; Tán Chángyŏu 潭長有 b. 1953)
All his calligraphical works are signed Tán Tiān and affixed with Tán Tiān seal. His writing style
significantly differs from the inscription shown in the picture here.
However, I managed to find a very similar 白雲山人 seal print on the net. https://www.997788.com/pr/detail_936_37180737.html
If I am right with the reading of the signature and the name seal; the name of artist is 呉牧 Wú Mù - Unidentifiable artist, according to the site
the date is unknown.
The art-names and pseudonyms generally don't have
copyrights.

With regards,
I.Nagy
