Hi, this is a fabulous painting l have and love, l was not able to find out who he was and would love to know, help greatly appreciated,thank you

Qing dynasty official holding a ruyi (scepter).
He wears a chaozhu (necklace), so he can be a civil servant of rank 5 or higher, a military officer of rank 4 and above, or a Beijing official.

It confirms what l had imagined without cultural knowledge.

My imagination led me to think he was a political counselor or prime minister, or a spy.it expresses a lot of magic, to me.
