Despite the dragon with the 5 claws, it's Japanese.
The 3 dots on the bottom are typical on old Japanese plates (sometimes even 5 or 7) and are not found on Chinese plates, which have a smooth surface.
Regards,
Martin.

Hi Gary,
In my opinion it's a Japanese charger. Circa Meiji period 1868-1912.
Despite what dealers think or have learnt Japanese dragons do sometimes have 5 claws. I have seen a number of pieces.
The presence of the outer blue line on the base is distinctly Japanese.
Nice piece.

Hi,

In my opinion what you have there is a Japanese arita/imari charger. It wasn't uncommon for the Japanese to represent the five toed imperial dragon.

I think it's probably 19th century.

It's very nice.

I hope this helps!

Regards,

Definitely Japanese. You can tell by the firing support marks to the base. :-)
