Subject:Help with inscriptions/signatures on Japanese scroll
Posted By: Suzume Thu, May 13, 2021 IP: 2a01:cb05:8886:f400:

Hi,

I was hoping that someone would be able to help me with this old scroll. It unrolls to about three meters and has a series of ink paintings of horses.

Most of them are accompanied by markings.

I believe it's both Japanese and Edo period.

Any more insight would be welcome.

Thanks for your time,

Hi,

Many thanks for the translation.

Unfortunately, as you can see the paper is wafer thin and already quite badly eaten away, so I think it's going to have to stay in storage. A pity for something so old.

Thanks once more!

King regards,
