Transfer printed Japanese Kutani ware.
Mass produced for export and roughly hand colored.
The mark reads: Fukutoku 福徳, which is a Japanese family name.
Mid 20th century.

You are right, it is quite modern, I saw these bottles by the thousands in the Hong Kong markets about 40 - 50 years ago.
