to the Art of Mongolia
| After more than five
years of global planning and negotiations, the Asian Art Museum is bringing
a landmark international exhibition to San Francisco this summer. The result
of an historic agreement between the newly democratic nation of Mongolia
and the Asian Art Museum, Mongolia: The Legacy of Chinggis Khan marks
the largest and most significant presentation of Mongolian art ever viewed
in the United States. It will be on view in San Francisco July 19 - October
15,1995.
The Asian Art Museum will bring this exhibition to the Denver Art Museum (November 11, 1995 - February 26, 1996) and to the National Geographic Society in Washington, DC (April 3 - July 7, 1996). An Introduction
