Milarepa

The statue portrays the great 11th century Tibetan poet-saint Milarepa, renowned for his songs and his asceticism, which even today inspire Tibetan Buddhist practitioners around the globe. He is shown with his right hand to his ear in a gesture typical of Milarepa, listening to his own song.
