Sadhus: The Great Renouncers

Pashupatinath, Nepal
FRIENDSHIP

Two young Vaishnava sadhus with colorful tilakas, or forehead markings, inside the Pashupatinath Temple complex. The adornment of powdered paint is unique to each Sadhu and a sign of the Hindu Triad that he is a part of. Renouncing his birth family for one of the Hindu Triads, he adopts either Vishnu, Brahama or Shiva as his new family.
