This lovely Buddhist statue displays intricately incised floral patterns on her pleated skirt as well as an ornate diadem and coiffure. Her hair falls in ringlets over her shoulders; such delicate curls are similarly found in paintings from the Malla period. Originally she held a lotus in her raised left hand; part of the lotus stem and leaf remains by her elbow and shoulder.
