Herd of Sheeps Grazing in the Mountain
A nomad family drives a herd of sheep up the river at
Lha chu. The western valley is also a trade route, providing access to the
high remote valleys north of Kailas where nomads graze their herds in the
summer months. A single sheep can carry ten kilos of barley or salt packed
in woolen saddlebags. |
