A lifelong passion for photography, combined with 30 years of travels, has led Doug Brown to many remote and fascinating areas of Asia.

Faces and places, behind the scenes, and the tapestry and texture of daily life are some of the themes of interest captured by Doug on his travels in India, Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and South East Asia.

This year ( spring 2001 ) a series of pictures was taken at the Mahakumbh Mela, in Allahabad, India, possibly the largest pilgrimage spectacle in the world.
