The Sri Yantra represents the union of divine masculine and feminine energies. The four upward-pointing triangles represent the masculine power or shakta; the five downward-pointing triangles symbolize the female power, shakti. This image is usually the basis for Hindu meditation practice: sustained gazing can open the mind to a transformative inner experience of unity beyond duality.
