The entire original image, 19", is in the Patan Museum, circa 12th century and is a superb example of Newar metalcraft. A mold was taken from this original museum image in order to demonstrate the lost wax casting techniques as practiced by the Newars of the Kathmandu Valley that is on permanent display in the Technology section, gallery G of the museum. The technology section was co-designed by James Giambrone and Gotz Hagmuller.
