‘Kouin I’ explored the concept and feelings of ‘light’, this work Kouin II, cleverly using the ambiguities of Japanese script, explores ideas of ‘fragrance’. Using similar techniques, the work suggests the scent of flowers in full bloom on a balmy breeze, and on the reverse side, the scent of green in a grove of trees during a downpour.
